Happy First Monday of May! Spring is here it's 70 degrees outside and it's a beautiful day to sell some good tools. I'm really excited to release this batch of tools. It includes some of the better suer quality tools I've found ina long time. I came back from the Nashua, NH tool show and auction with a truck full of quality tools so the next fewmonths should be chock full of good stuff.

Hello everyone, happy Patriot's Day! It's also tax day here in the USA. In addition to the usual edge tools, saws, molders, and planes I normally offer, I've dug into my collection and found a few things I could live without so I can raise funds to cover the check I just wrote to the state of CT. Please have a look at my Tools For Sale page to see the new items. I hope you find something you like!
Please note- I fulfill orders in the order they are received here at my desk. While most email seems to make it here in a timely manner, many messages are delayed en route, stuck in some congested mail server, or taking the long way round the gobe to get to my mailserver. Unfortunately, there isn't much to be done about this- it's the nature of email. In order to insure that your email request makes it to me promptly please feel free to send your message to both my email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org addresses. This way at least one of your messages will make it here right away
Around here things are warming up nicely. The last of the snow finally melted and we were able to plant our peas and greens in the garden this week. The daffodils are up and the warm weather songbirds are back. We have our usual family of Phoebes nesting in the rafters of my wood shed and the same Wren pair nesting in the cap of our propane tank, fighting off any and all trespassers. The kids have started t-ball practice even though the mornings are still bitter cold. Tool season is in full swing and I have a large collection of tools coming in this week. Keep an eye out for lots of new tools in May.

I'm Following up on a recent Twitter discussion (you can follow me @HKToolCo ) on making handles for traditional British "pigsticker" mortise chisels. I promised I would dissect one to see how the handles were attached. Granted, this is just one example, but I think it's good evidence.
